Our Big Girl!

We are loving being parents and Angela makes it so easy. She's such a great baby, so happy and well behaved. We have loved watching her learn and discover her world. Here she is at 5 1/2 months, sitting up and playing. She's so fun! :) Hope you enjoy!

The past 2 months...

I know it's been FORVER since I have updated my blog... So here's my attempt to catch you up on the last 2 months of our lives!
We had our baby GIRL! :) October 15th at 3:12 pm Angela Rae was born. This is me while at the hospital, in-between contractions.

Right after Angela was born...Proud Parents ! :) Only an 8 hour labor! We decided to name our little girl Angela, after Mike's mom. Her middle name Rae stands for Raymond, Mike's dad, as well as me Rachel.

Dressing her to take her home! She was not happy with us.

Proud Grandparents: Mema and Dad and Linda
Mema had to fly in a day early because Angela came 5 days early :)
Tara took some pictures for us when Angela was 2 weeks old

Nap time with Daddy!

Halloween Day...Daddy reading Angela a story
Halloween Day & Broncos Game! Angela was about 2 weeks old.
Our friend Alyssa and her son Ryder, Angela's future husband...Lol

Angela is growing so fast! Here she is at 1 month

We had amazing help from family and friends throughout this whole process...
Thank you all so much, we are blessed! :)
Well, I think that about does it.
I will be posting some more recent pictures of Angela at 2 months. To be continued...

Summer Fun!

Summer has come and gone...crazy how time flies!
We spent most of our summer working away, but did get to enjoy some down time and time with family and friends.
My Mom and step-dad came out in July for my baby shower. It was so great having them here! We almost finished the baby's nursery and it's always a fun spending time with them. About a month and a half later my sister, brother-in-law and niece and nephew came to visit.

We enjoyed some great ice cream at BJ Freeze!

Maddie and Nathan walking around a lake near our place. They are so cute. Can't believe how they've grown!

Went to dinner at Jose Muldunes. Always fun hanging out with family!

Now, it's officially Fall. September is almost over and October here we come! I am now 36 weeks and definitely feeling my belly growing, starting to discover the dreaded stretch marks and ready to "pop" at any moment. Hard to believe we will have our little girl here in a matter of weeks!

Here's a picture of me at 35 weeks

Thank you Lord for such a sweet blessing! We can't wait to meet you little one! :)

Now, we have 17 days until we find out what God is blessing us with...will our little one be a new son or daughter?

And I have been feeling 100% better! No more sickness...Praise God!

I added a voting ballot on our blog. Please vote for what you think little baby G will be!

Guerrero's + 1

Our year has been great! After getting married we've been enjoying our newly decorated place and having so much fun with eachother as husband and wife.
Valentine's Day and Mike's birthday was right around the corner. February was going to be a busy month.
I started dogsitting for some members in February. Saturaday February 13th was no average day. I woke up and felt different. I knew what was coming! So I took the test and yes it was positive! :) That's right! You know what that means. I held in my excitment the whole day and didn't even wake Mike to tell him.
He got off work and came over to where I was dogsitting. There was a little blue bag waiting for him to open. I told him it was an early Valentine's Day/Birthday/special occassion present.
He opened and this is what he found...

a baby Nike beanie and there were also some white booties (one pair for a boy and one for a girl).
As you can see he was so happy, his eyes are teary! :) Ah how cute and what a special moment for us!

Parents to be!

Since then we tried to wait to tell people until after the first trimester but that didn't happen. We were too excited!
I've been feeling not so great...but I know in the end it's well worth it. I just hope my doctor's right when she says the sickness will go away after the first trimester. Oh I'm praying so! :)
Until then, I'm trying to enjoy it all. What a blessing from God...Thank you Lord!

Makeover

Mike and I decided we wanted to paint and add some sophistication to our condo. So, Mom came to visit the beginning of January and spend time with us...also to help us decorate.
Here are some before pictures...Notice all the clutter and boring color?

The transformation begins...
We love the bright colors!

a nice dinner in our newly designed space...its not completely finished yet

Our First Christmas

We spent Christmas Eve celebrating with Dad and Linda and her family. We did a gift exchange and for some reason everyone wanted ALL the gifts I kept getting. I did end up with some nice dessert plates and Mike got a fishing pole he really wanted! We also played Left, Right,Center which was fun. Thanks Dad!
Christmas Day we went to Uncle Jay & Aunt Rosie's house in Pueblo. We had a great time visiting with everyone. Then we went to Aunt Nina & Uncle Lawrence's house. It's always a great time. They all sing and dance and have lots of fun!

We had a great 1st Christmas! Mike and I went to The Gathering for Christmas Eve service. It was a very nice and truly focused on God's gift to us...His Son Jesus! The Pastor talked about the 4 parts of the Christmas season and what Christ brings to us...Love, Peace, Hope & Joy. Only through Christ may we experience these in full. I am thankful and count my blessing this Christmas to have Christ as my savior. May we all find these blessings in full through Christ!
I loved our first Christmas and look forward to many many more!
